Former West Indian cricketer Ian Bishop highly-rated Babar Azam, the current Pakistani captain and one of the finest batters in modern-day cricket.
Bishop, in a video shared by the ESPNcricinfo, was asked to describe known Pakistani and Indian cricketers in one word.
"Babar Azam - Consistent, MS Dhoni - Intellectual, Shaheen Afridi - Showman, Virat Kohli - Graceful, Shahid Afridi - Superb," Bishop replied.
In a bid to prepare for Asia Cup in Sri Lanka, Babar is currently representing Colombi Strikers in the fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). He had already scored a century in the league, his 10th overall in T20 format.
The right-handed batter will soon return to the leading role for the Pakistan cricket team as they take on Afghanistan in a three-match ODI series, starting on August 22.
Today, the Pakistan team's newly appointed chief selector announced a 17-men squad for the Afghanistan series. 16 out of 17 players will then participate in the Asia Cup which will be played from August 30 to September 17 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
